Building N. N as in Nancy

Guess what happened to me? OK, never mind. You’ll never guess in a vermillion years what happened to me (haha, get it? verMILLION years? million years? meh). So I’ll just tell you.

I get a phone call at 4am this morning. It’s a monitoring company. Fire monitoring company. Building N as in Nancy is “supposedly” going up in flames. Someone has pulled the fire alarm. It looks like this:

The operator asked me to get in my car and go onsite of where the fire is. I tell her that if the firemen need me, they can call me. I mean really, what can I do? If it’s in flames, they want people away. Unfortunately, there is nothing I can do until the fire is out and cooled enough for me to get people in to clean up. However, just in case they did call me, I didn’t let myself go back to sleep immediately. So just as I was drifting off, Benjamin’s alarm went off. Woke me right up. Then as I was drifting off again, Lauren came in and woke me up so I could flat iron her hair. Lauren is in jazz band twice a week and gets up at 5:45. Today was one of those special get up before the birds days.  And then right after that, Lily woke up. I’m tired. I’m going to bed because you know what? For the next three days, I’ll be here. And I’m really really really excited to go!

Just in case y’all don’t believe me, here’s a couple of pictures of building N. N as in Nancy.

So it was an “accident” or faulty wiring in the alarm system. I’m voting for someone who just doesn’t have enough on their plate and was bored. AT 4AM IN THE MORNING.

Question of the day: Every do something when you were “bored” and you knew you weren’t supposed to do it? Huh Miss Washington? You have a couple of stories to tell? I’d love to hear them. Winking smile
