So I bought a craft project last year with great intentions to put it together and have a fun easy project. Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight. Because I do everything on a time line.
So I wanted to do something with this long weekend. I was so excited that I got my project that I had bought over a year ago. It was 6 frames and vinyl lettering that said FAMILY. Fun right? So I get the first letter out, plan out which frames for which letter and I look at the vinyl… I’ve never put on vinyl lettering on anything. Ever.
I’m a bit confused… Is the lettering backward?? Isn’t the vinyl supposed to be on the inside of the glass? So shouldn’t the lettering be backwards too? It wasn’t. So all of sudden, I was very unsure of myself. Make an album of scrapbooking? No problem. Vinyl lettering was a monster of it’s own.
So Jeri called me and announced that she is bringing over a desk that they were getting rid of so Lauren could put her microscope and laptop on it and not at our table. I ask her about the lettering and she thinks I have it way mixed up as well. So I tell her that I’m going to wait until she gets here to help me.
She gets here… And… the lettering is backwards!! So while she is inspecting my project, she just takes charge and starts to finish my project.
I heard things like, “Sara! quit taking pictures, I’m going to beat your a$$!” And, “if you take one more picture, I’m going to stop and you can do this all by yourself!”
Oh, look at her…. I’m shakin’ in my boots!
Another look. She thinks it actually works… ha!
Look at the mess she made on my table… Tsk, tsk.
In the end, I thought it turned out well. Considering that the vinyl was on the outside. Oh, and I have to still get pictures to put in it.
Question of the day: What is your favorite project you’ve ever done?
