So much has happened. You know when you’re worried about something, something you can’t blog about and because you’re so worried, you don’t blog at all? Yup, that’s what happened to me and even though some things have been ruled out, we still don’t have all the answers. I know this is very vague, but you’re going to have to live with it.
All of my pictures are on my mother’s camera and I’m figuring out how to get them onto my computer when I figure that out, I’ll post the pictures.
First, Lauren. Lauren loves playing the clarinet. She has played it so well and worked on it so hard this year. All for last week. Last week… were try-outs for playing the saxophone next year. That is all she has wanted to play, but she had to put in her first year of clarinet. 20 students wanted to play the sax. There were 9 positions open. She played her heart out, the piece that would, could, might change everything for her. She came home. I asked her how she did. In a very dejected voice told me she bombed the try-outs. I told her she probably did not and to wait and be bummed until after she heard. Well, come Wednesday, she found out that she got it! She called me and her dad, but my phone was in my car plugged into the charger, but she got a hold of her dad! He is so proud of her. He played the alto sax all through school and I think he is just as giddy as her. We went and got her one on Thursday evening. She has played it everyday since and is doing quite well if I do say so myself. The teacher wanted them to bring it to school with them if they had one by then so she could show them how to put it together and play a little. Well, not only does Lauren know how to play it, but she already knows some songs. I’m so proud of her for doing this and working at it!
Kathryn: Kathryn tried out for ASB. She wanted to be the treasurer. She however, didn’t get it :( I am very proud of her for trying. I told her that we aren’t always going to get what we want out of life, but if we don’t try, we’ll never know if we might have gotten what it was we were trying for. She will be in 5th grade next year. Wow, time flies!
Lily: Got her 2nd tooth in this past month and had a 103 temp to get it! Crazy weird! She is standing in place all by herself and trying to take steps all by herself, but then she falls. Quite gracefully if I do say so myself. She has figured out how to move our mega gate that we have in the living room to keep her from the stairs. She just watches Lexi get in. We have a smart one here. However, she got mega stuck trying to wedge herself out of the living room. I have pictures. I’ll post them when I get them. She also pulls herself up to see outside from our living room windows. Lexi does it too and they are about the same height. I have them standing next to one another. I think it’s very cute. Lily had her first birthday! Today in fact is her birthday, we celebrated and had a party yesterday. She is one very spoiled little girl. At this point Lily waves, claps her hands, says dada, and yay! (while clapping her hands) I need to do a one year post, but for now, this will have to do.
Oh, and I got a bonus at work and I got a fun little toy. I love it and I take it everywhere with me. It. Is. The. Bomb. I love love love it.
So that’s about what’s going on in our house.
Don’t forget to read my latest ridiculous argument between my mother and I.
